Stitch pickings Monday is the last day for Londoners to see Demons, Yarns & Tales, an exhibition of 14 wall-hanging tapestries by artists such as Grayson Perry, Gary Hume, Kara Walker and Julie Verhoeven, at the Dairy in Bloomsbury. But the hand-stitched works, commissioned by Banners of Persuasion, a visual arts organisation launched by Rug Company founders Christopher and Suzanne Sharp. will next move to Miami, where they will be displayed from December 2-6. Each tapestry is for sale in a limited edition of five, with prices ranging from £15,000 to £85,000. 'Demons, Yarns & Tales', until Monday. |
